Choose your grant writer as if it will be a long-term relationship so that you can avoid repeating the "learning curve" with different grant writers. Once CME GrantPros is familiar with your organization, it is easier to write subsequent proposals -- making it more cost effective to outsource your grant writing projects.
Like most reputable grant writers, CME GrantPros does not work on a commission or contingency fee basis. These practices are considered unethical in the fundraising community and illegal in most jurisdictions.
CME GrantPros fees are based on the complexity of the proposal's requirements and the amount of time it takes to complete the assignment. The typical grant assignment ranges from $3,500 to $7,500.
Depending on the grant application, the average turn-around time is 4-6 weeks
If a client enters into a Retainer Agreement for a minimum of 40 hours per month, CME GrantPros will provide a discounted hourly rate.
CME GrantPros will never guarantee that your request for funding will be approved. To receive a grant your agency must submit a well-written proposal following the application instructions’ 100%. Funding decisions depend on many variables including: eligibility of your organization; past grant awards; the success of your agency programs; the financial solvency of your non-profit; the population served; demonstration of need in community; the number of years in operation; qualified staff; community reputation; geographic services area; and board composition to name a few.
The professionalism of your entire organization is judged on the quality of your grant submission. Too many organizations have a knee-jerk reaction to funding announcements and put deadlines ahead of writing a compelling and technically correct proposal. If you do not have the time to write a top notched proposal, your agency may actually do more harm than good and tarnishing your agency’s reputation.
We cannot send you copies of proposals that we have written for other clients due to confidentiality agreements. After an initial consultation we can provide other types of writing samples.
It’s a new day in philanthropy and there is a level playing field for everyone. Most funding decisions are based on the quality of your proposal document and urgency of your project — not your connections. This is great news to non-profits with board members who are concerned citizens’ not corporate executives. When your organization submits a competitive proposal, you have an equal chance of receiving funding.
An agency is not eligible to apply for grants until they receive their IRS 501(c) 3 tax exemption letter. However, many private foundations require your agency to be in operation for two years prior to a grant submission.
